Arambol Beach – a well-developed North goa beach

Welcome to the Arambol beach- Traveller’s Guide.

Arambol beach is the newest developed beach in north goa. This newly developed beach has since then been a top tourist attraction. The Arambol beach is situated along with the fisherman’s village. The beach has two other beaches namely Mandarin and Keri beach along its side and shares the same shore. The beauty of the Arambol beach is surely going to mesmerise you.

To add to its beauty is the Bohemian vibe which attracts a lot of foreign tourists. The beach offers all kinds of activities for a full pack entertainment with its open-air music events, beautiful beach shacks, live concerts and vibrant party clubs and restaurants at the beach.

The beach also holds two of the most beautiful events of Goa: The Indian Juggling Convention and the Tribal Dance Festival.

Now, let’s dive into more deeper details about the beach.

How to reach Arambol Beach:

  • From Goa International Airport- Dabolim: This north Goa beach is about 60kms from the airport.
  • From Vasco de Gama and Madgaon railway station: The distance between Arambol beach and any nearby railway station is also 60kms approximately.

If you want to have an affordable trip to goa, you can for sure choose a bus as an option for commuting. But I would personally not suggest it as, like me, you may have luggage and must have been tired of the travel, so opt for a cab. Though the cab might charge you around Rs.1500 I think it is worth the tiredness. In this way, you will save yourself of the more tiring and hectic travel of many buses along the way.

Best time to visit Arambol Beach:

The best time to visit Arambol beach is during the winters. You can choose to come here anywhere between late October to March. The weather for travelling is the most pleasant and favourable during this time of the year.

#1 Baga beach – Amazing Nightlife

The All Time Fav - Baga Beach
The All-Time Fav – Baga Beach

Baga is the king of beaches in North Goa. It is located near Calangute beach. Both Baga beach and Calangute beach are on the same shore.

Most importantly Baga beach is known as the best beach in Goa for nightlife, parties, amazing views, and the best beach restaurants. It has the most perfect ambiance for dazzling nightlife with many remarkable restaurants like Britto’s, Tito’s, and Mambos. The drinks are also available at a decent price.

Unlike many other beaches of Goa, where you can surely enjoy the old vibe. Baga beach comes with the perfect mixture of a party vibe and a happy crowd. Apart from the nightlife, you can even enjoy several sports activities at the Baga beach such as bumpy rides, speed boating, and jet skiing.

If you are a person who wants to enjoy the best view and some of the best beachside restaurants, at the same time you do not prefer crowded beaches, then come to Baga beach in the daylight. It will mesmerize you for sure. And if you ask me which part of Goa is the best? Then my answer will surely be Baga.

Some of my recommendations are:

#2 Calangute Beach – Serenity and Peace

Next in the list is the Calangute beach. I find this beach somewhat quieter and less developed as compared to Baga beach. Calangute beach is on the same shore as Baga beach.

Calangute beach is known as the queen of beaches because of the holistic beach environment. It is less crowded. But everything is more or less the same as Baga beach. You will find fewer restaurants than Baga. But the view is amazing.  The sunset on the beach was mesmerizing for me.

Apart from the normal beach activities like walking and playing with sand, you should surely take a look at Kerkar Art Complex. Their art exhibits are worth seeing. You can also enjoy a little shopping for handmade items here at Calangute beach. For further shopping, you must visit Anjuna Beach. The water activities offered here at the beach are surfing, parasailing, and water skiing.

#3 Anjuna Beach Hippie style, Perfect Sunset

Shopping at Anjuna beach in Goa is a must
Shopping at Anjuna beach in Goa is a must

Anjuna was once the home of – hippies, but today you won’t find many of them there. But for sure the vibe at Anjuna is amazing and the hippest of all the beaches in the north goa. Anjuna beach is located beside the Anjuna village. Anjuna beach is one of the oldest Goan tourists sites.

You will find all sorts of hippie shopping things out there in the best market of North Goa, the Anjuna flea market.  For me, Anjuna is the best beach for shopping handmade, and all kinds of fancy stuff. People from all over the world come to visit the Anjuna flea market.

When I read about this market and I saw the pictures of the market, I found it quite similar to the Sarojini of Delhi. But believe me, if you do not visit this market, you are gonna miss something really good. The vibe at the market is just amazing. Here you can find almost all the stuff below Rs. 500. You can buy beautiful beach wears or some hippie-style clothes for as cheap as Rs 100.

The psychedelic music played during the evening appears as a cherry on top. I mean what else do you want. You are doing your favorite activity that is shopping, that too besides the beach and you have music all around. Take note that the market is only open on Wednesdays.

I went to Purple Martini which is a few km from the beach. It has the best non-veg and veg food. The sunsets on the beach are mesmerizing. Also if you go to Purple Martini, I am sure you will thank me later. I was spellbound by the sunset there. You must check it out.

Some of my recommendations for Anjuna are:
